Our Fresh Mussels Are Carefully Cultivated In The Pristine Seas Off The West Coast Of Scotland, Grown On Ropes Suspended In The Tidal Currents Which Allows Them To Grow Plump With A Sweet Taste. Live Mussels Will Open And Close On Their Own And Come With The Beard Still Attached.
Please Note It Is Natural For There To Be Around 10% Of Broken Shells, This Is Because Mussel Shells Are Not As Robust As They Once Were, They Are Softer And Break More Easily. Broken Mussels Can Still Be Cooked As Long As The Shell Still Opens And Closes Before Cooking.

All Raw Fish Products Must Be Cooked Thoroughly Until They Are Piping Hot.
Storage
Refrigerate 0-5°C. Consume Within 2 Days Of Receipt. Remove from packaging & store in fridge covered in a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Discard any that do not open or close when tapped. Cook before freezing.
