Cursed Calamari Spaghetti

A Halloween Pasta Dish to Die For

Serves 4 

Terrifyingly tasty this squid ink spaghetti is perfect for Halloween. 

Ingredients:

  • 500g Squid Ink pasta
  • 750g squid, cleaned, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • A few sprigs of fresh parsley, finely minced
  • A splash of white wine
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

 

Method: 

  1. Sauté the chopped garlic and parsley in the olive oil until the garlic is just beginning to turn brown. 
  2. Add the cut-up squid and let it sweat in the oil, uncovered, for a few minutes. Add the white wine and cover for about 15 minutes or until the squid is tender. 
  3. Boil the squid ink spaghetti in well-salted water until al dente. 
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the squid and mix well. 
  5. Serve and enjoy.
