To start our Mediterranean Fish soup featuring, red mullet, gurnard & haddock & a tomato base. The original recipe hails from the dish fishermen would make with whatever they had left at the end of the days catch, simple & packed full of flavour & famed all over Europe.

For main we are offering baked Shetland cod with garden peas and parmesan & thyme roast baby potatoes, served with a shellfish cream. The deep rich creamed shellfish broth marries perfectly with the flaky cod fillet partnered with the crunch of thyme scented roast cauliflower and sweet garden peas.

Paired with Chardonnay, Pays D’Oc, Marcel Martin, Loire 2018. Fragrant nose of honey and tropical fruits, rounded melon, and peach flavours on the palate, vibrant and juicy with integrated acidity and a long subtle tropical finish.

This crisp, cooler climate unoaked Chardonnay pairs well with the flavours for the fish and tomato in the soup, having enough structure and fruit to not lead to a flavour overload.

The flaky, meaty cod, thyme scented cauliflower and the flavoursome shellfish broth compliment the tropical nuances of the Chardonnay with the acidity balancing the creaminess of the broth.
